Many people may see this comic man in his many television shows and appearances in movies and think he is very annoying. Others see him as a comedy genius that gets into a lot of trouble with his characters yet pulls through to keep the series going! This man was born in North Carolina at Mount Airy and has starred in a number of roles. He also was given the presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bush in 2005. This man has accomplished many great things and has brought many great things to the people who enjoy his work.

His shows are available on DVD as well as new upcoming Bluray formats to take advantage of these great shows that could never be compared to anything else. The special editions of the DVD releases are special to have now that Andy Griffith is well into his old age. Remembering how great his show was and the goofy antic of his cousin in his show (played by Don Knotts) really brings back memories of a greater time when situations were much simpler but often had complicated but funny outcomes. Thes show was about a fictional town named Mayberry in North Carolina and the Sherriff named Andy Taylor and all of the sleepy slow paced goodness of the town.

The show centers around solving problems with common sense advice and can easily escalate to more complex problems from out of town criminals to moonshiners. Depending on the situation Andy Taylor and sometimes his goofy cousin will take care of the trouble and get the sleepy town doing what it does best, lay back and enjoy freedom as well as the quietness of the North Carolinian space. The shows and movies that include Andy Griffith are special and one of a kind, make sure to enjoy them while you can!
